WHY IS THE BEREAN ROUNDTABLE BIBLE STUDY NEEDED - Did GOD Call Women to Ministry? Are we willing to examine what we believe against the Word of GOD? Have we become so accustomed to traditional teachings that we no longer question whether those teachings agree with Scripture? The Berean RoundTable Bible Study was established to address an important need within the Body of Christ: the need to examine the Scriptures for ourselves, seek understanding, question traditional interpretations, and restore sound Biblical teaching. In Acts 17:11 (KJV), we read about the Bereans: "These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so." This is the spirit in which The Berean RoundTable Bible Study has been established. For centuries, certain passages of Scripture have been used to establish teachings and practices that have significantly influenced the Church. But have we examined these passages in their entirety? Have we considered their context, their relationship to other Scriptures, and the full counsel of GOD? DID GOD CALL WOMEN INTO THE MINISTRY? This is not a study designed exclusively for women. It is a Bible study for BOTH MEN AND WOMEN. The entire Body of Christ has a responsibility to understand what GOD has said concerning the ministry and the responsibilities He has given to His people. In this discussion, Pastor Nadine Richmond explains the purpose, need, and importance of establishing a forum where men and women can come together to examine Scripture, engage in meaningful discussion, and pursue a greater understanding of the Word of GOD. WHY THE BEREAN ROUNDTABLE? To examine the Scriptures for ourselves. To question teachings and traditions that may not align with Scripture. To develop a greater understanding of the Word of GOD. To seek truth rather than simply accept what we have been taught. To restore sound Biblical teaching. To encourage unity through a greater understanding of the Word of GOD. The objective is not simply to have another Bible study. It is to encourage the kind of Biblical examination and understanding that will help prepare the Church to fulfill its responsibilities. This is not a complete Bible Study; however, it will challenge viewers to ensure that they are correct by holding the disposition of denying women to teach and preach in the church. Moreover, for the one who accepts women in the ministry without any restrictions, learn how to defend their position based on Scripture.
