Dear Chief Justice Roberts:
I am writing regarding the cases under discussion regarding Proposition 8, California’s Same Sex Marriage Ban and the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). The first concern we have is whether or not man have any rights to change one of the Creator’s institutions. Marriage is one of God’s institutions it was created by the Creator to be between a man and a woman. Does the government of the United States or any sub-division thereof have a right to change the Creator’s Institution of Marriage? Many refer to the Declaration of Independence when referring to matters pertaining to the United States. “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. Here we acknowledge the Creator as being the one who endows men.
The cases that are before the Court pertain to Marriage, an Institution that was established by the Creator, therefore, I submit that the Creator should have a voice, to that end this submission is presented to the Court to ensure due process of the law. In the case of homosexuals according to the scriptures, the Creator has given them up to uncleanness. For homosexuals through the lusts of their own hearts dishonor their own bodies between themselves. (Romans 1:24) According to Romans, the Creator gave them up unto vile affections – they changed the natural use of their bodies. They engage in acts against nature. (Romans 25-26) Moreover, the Creator gave them over to a reprobate mind. (Romans 1:28) Below is the complete referenced text.
Romans 1:24 - 28: “Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;”
Homosexual behavior is some of those things that people do in the dark, according to Ephesians: 5:12: For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. However, allow me to speak in plain talk. Most that have been advocating same-sex marriage make it sound pleasant. Some make statements to the effect that two people that love each other should have the right to marry. Some refer to the conduct as sexual orientation. Some ever refer to same-sex marriage as a civil right. Let us see why this behavior is even a shame to discuss.
God says the conduct is unclean. God called it vile affection. Vile means: corrupted, debased, debauched, depraved, perverted, gross, obscene, vulgar, disgusting, foul, nasty, abhorrent, contemptible, loathsome, offensive, repulsive, revolting, offensive, horrid, nasty noisome, repugnant, repulsive i.e. Let us take a closer look at why God called it vile affection by examining the act of sodomy. Sodomy is defined as follows: (1) Anal or oral copulation with a member of the same sex (2) Enforced anal or oral copulation with a member of the opposite sex. (3) Bestiality.
It is important that we closely examine the conduct of sodomy between two men. Surely, it is a shame to discuss this conduct in this way; it is less painful to say life-style choice, gays, and sexual orientation. Sometimes it is more effective to speak plain talk. Therefore, let us discuss sodomy between two men. In this act a man takes his penis, the organ the Creator gave him for the reproduction of human beings; instead of electing to put his penis into a woman’s reproduction organ, the vagina, this man puts his penis into another man’s anus then through his rectum. The rectum is the terminal section of the large intestine. God created the large intestine to serve mainly as a storehouse and absorb water and eliminates solid waste. Nasty! Nasty! Nasty! God calls this conduct of homosexuals unclean. These people fail to honor their bodies – God says this happens because of the lusts of the flesh. However, some would like this behavior to become one of the norms of our society. But to the Creator it is so perverted that it is a shame to even discuss it in plain talk. Surely this is a behavior disorder when people fail to respect their body parts and engage in perverted activities because of the lusts of the flesh.
Surely, Justice Kennedy did not consider the Creator’s declaration as outlined in Romans Chapter one in the case of Lawrence v. Texas when he made this comment: “When sexuality finds overt expression to intimate conduct with another person, the conduct can be one element in a personal bond that is more enduring.” For homosexuals, God says this is the lusts of the flesh! However, unfortunately today in most places of worship it is not being taught. Consequently, many do not fear God, the Creator because they are being taught to fear him by the precepts of men and not from the Word of God. Moreover, this is the reason that some see the question of same-sex marriage as a civil right. However, there is nothing civil about the conduct, in fact it is against nature and can only bring about the destruction of society. However, there are some who would like to make these vile behaviors a norm for the society.
Do homosexuals qualify to become part of the Creator’s Institution of Marriage? Answer: No –for it is a union between a man and a woman. Thus man does not have the right or the power to change what was established by the Creator. The Defense of Marriage Act confirms God’s Institution for the people of the United States. This confirmation is good for the country. Nevertheless, some are saying today that the law is un-constitutional – How could something be un-constitution if in the beginning of the Union of the United States, the Founders of the nation recognized that it was the Creator that endows men. Does the United States Government have standing to change God’s Institution of Marriage? Answer: No.
Is it lawful to restrict two people from engaging in these unclean acts just because the Creator says that He has given them up to uncleanness and vile affection to dishonor their bodies between themselves? The record shows that up until 1962 in most states sodomy was illegal and a criminal offense. What has happened over the years to bring about the change in America as we see today? The values of many have changed because they have not been taught the Truth regarding this repulsive conduct. We must be very careful here in making decisions that alter God’s plan for his people. Have we weighed all of the consequences of making same-sex relationships as the norm of our society?
Surely it is not the duty of the Supreme Court to make norms for our society – For Congress passed DOMA into law. Now at the decision of the new President, he decides not to uphold the law and has even presented a brief in this case against Proposition 8. The People of California have spoken through Proposition 8, California’s Same Sex Marriage Ban. Consequently now it is in your hands to determine the constitutionality of these laws. Surely the Supreme Court’s duty is to decide cases agreeable to the Constitution and laws of the United States. I submit, DOMA affirms God’s institution of Marriage. Moreover, Congress does not have the power to change the Creator’s Institution of Marriage, the confirmation is most appropriate.
Of course it is not enough for some people because they do not believe in the Creator – or they think that the Creator made a mistake and they know what is best for the Creator’s creation. The Creator has given them over to a reprobate mind for they do not like to retain God in their knowledge. Surely, in this case where men do not what to have God in their knowledge God has given them Liberty to create norms for that society and he promises that they will receive the recompense of their error.
Nevertheless, within the constitution there is no provision that makes “homosexual sodomy” a “fundamental right” under the due process clause of the Fourteen Amendment to the Constitution. However, one of the arguments is that “The Liberty” protected by the Constitution allows homosexual persons the right to make this choice. Nevertheless, this so called “Liberty Protection” does not give them the right or the entitlement to become part of the God’s Institution of Marriage. Moreover, it does not give the government the power to restrict the rights of People Who Fear God to freely speak Truth and bring forth Light to a dark society.
As “People who fear God” – should they submit to the laws of man or should they do what is pleasing in the sight of God? Answer – They should obey God. Is it just to force “People Who Fear God” not to speak out regarding this perverted conduct? Answer: God forbid. If it becomes law in the United States for same-sex individuals to marry would it restrict “People Who Fear God” from preaching the gospel based on the word of God? Do the leaders of God’s people in the United States want to remove the Creator from the Declaration of Independence this is the real question that is before the nation. Do we really want to disregard the word of God and recognize conducts that are against nature and clearly unclean and put them on par with sound and natural behaviors. What are the benefits of the lusts of the flesh to society?
The People of California have spoken through Proposition 8, California’s Same Sex Marriage Ban. Here the people of California recognize the value of protecting Marriage as a union between a man and woman and to protect their children from this perverted life-style of same sex conduct. California has addressed the Liberty question and the pursuit of happiness likewise, The Creator also address this question. The Creator gave them up to uncleanness and vile affection to dishonor their bodies among themselves. However, the Creator did not give them to right to participate in His Institution of Marriage that was created for a union of a man and woman. Consequently, the Creator has commanded His People to teach and preach this truth.
Surely, the federal government or state government can establish laws to resolve the issues regarding the rights of individuals to receive property, hospital visitations, insurance benefits, i.e. without under-minding the integrity of God’s Institution of Marriage.
In conclusion, we submit the Defense of Marriage Act is a good law; it affirms and is designed to protect God’s Institution of Marriage between a man and a woman. Moreover, Proposition 8, California Same Sex Marriage Ban represents the voice of the people of California. They have demonstrated wisdom, moreover they have also addressed the perceived “Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness” question. This demonstrated wisdom is designed to protect this generation and future generations from a farther moral decline in our society by protecting true family values and sound society norms. We pray that the Supreme Court will uphold the will of the people in the State of California as they have spoken through Proposition 8, California’s Same Sex Marriage Ban and the law of the land, the DOMA. These laws protect The Creator’s Institution of Marriage between a man and a woman and work to preserve the integrity of our great nation, the United States of America.
