Rely on the LORD GOD and You Shall Prevail

September 6, 2026
Rely on The LORD GOD and You Shall Prevail! What do you do when you are facing a battle that appears impossible to win? This powerful message examines what happens when we rely on The LORD GOD instead of relying on our own strength, wisdom, or understanding. Through Scripture and the accounts of men and women who faced tremendous challenges, we see a consistent biblical principle: when we allow GOD to lead us, He is able to bring us through the battle and give us the victory. The Bible gives us many examples. In 2 Chronicles 13, we see the contrast between Rehoboam, the son of Solomon, who rejected wise counsel, and Abijah, Solomon's grandson, who faced an overwhelming battle and relied upon the LORD GOD. Although Abijah's circumstances appeared impossible, GOD gave him the victory. We also examine: Jehoshaphat — 2 Chronicles 20: What do you do when you don't know what to do? David and Goliath — 1 Samuel 17: David faced a giant while trusting in the power of GOD. Moses at the Red Sea — Exodus 14: When there appeared to be no way of escape, GOD made a way. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: They refused to compromise their trust in GOD, even when facing the fiery furnace. Daniel: Daniel continued to trust GOD even when obedience could cost him his life. Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane: Jesus demonstrated complete submission to the will of the Father in the greatest battle of all. These accounts remind us that the size of the battle does not determine the outcome—our confidence in GOD does. There may be times when you cannot see a way forward. There may be times when the opposition appears stronger than you. There may be times when your own wisdom is not enough. Don't give up. Don't rely solely upon yourself. Put your trust in GOD. Allow Him to lead you. Rely on The LORD GOD—and you shall prevail! 📖 Primary Scripture: 2 Chronicles 13:1–3, 12–18 📖 Additional Scriptures: 2 Chronicles 20; 1 Samuel 17; Exodus 14; Daniel 3; Daniel 6; Matthew 26 Put Your Trust In GOD — In the Name of JESUS!
