Solution to the Iraq Crisis - War is not the Answer
Dear Mr. President:
Terrorism is not a new threat to America; therefore, we must learn lessons from our recent past. In the early 1970’s, we experienced terrorism within our military. There were fire bombings, buildings set aflame, U. S. military buildings were taken over by our own military members, and we called them militants. Moreover, these so-called militants, members of our armed services waged war from within against the United States. After these incidents, some commanders took a preemptive approach, by discharging blacks without any firm foundation; they used a provision of the personnel discharge manuals called, “character behavior disorder”. Consequently, these commanders sent many blacks to psychologists for evaluations. These blacks were classified as having “character behavior disorders” consequently they were discharged. The problem was that these blacks were being referred to these psychologists without any manifestation of destructive behaviors. Therefore, these preemptive actions did not resolve the problems, however they planted more bad seeds. From these experiences, we learned that you must address root causes.
I was in the Air Force at that time; the Air Force created an organization known as Social Actions to address this deadly internal war. In 1976, I was hand picked by Headquarters Tactical Air Command (TAC) to go to England Air Force Base, Louisiana on the heels of the fire bombing of the Wing Commander’s car, the Base Commander’s car, and after an incident whereby a black Staff Sergeant had taken over the Command Post with an M-16. I was assigned there after these incidents to discover root causes, prevent other incidents from reoccurring, and to help to improve the human relations climate. I successfully achieved all objectives. One of the lessons learned was when commanders engaged in oppressive and perverse policies it lead to the creation of these so-called militants.
The problems that the United States is experiencing today have the same foundations that our military experienced; our military engaged in oppressive and perverse policies. We learned that the racial incidents (acts of terrorism) that we experienced were the fruits of our trust in oppression and perverseness. These were the roots of the problems that we experienced on our military bases; moreover, these are the same roots that caused the riots that we experienced during the 1960’s in many of our cities throughout the United States. Today, the terrorism that we are experiencing is based on the same roots, however on an international scale. Consequently, if we fail to address the root causes, we will continue to experience terrorism and have many breaking points. This is also what the word of God says about this matter.
In Isaiah, Chapter 30, the word of God continues to warn His people of the destruction to come when they place their trust in oppression and perverseness. Isaiah, Chapter 30:9-13 says, “That this is a rebellious people, lying people, children that will not hear the law of the Lord. Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits: Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us. Wherefore thus saith the Holy One of Israel, because ye despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness and stay thereon. Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking cometh suddenly at an instant.” Mr. President, we will experience more breaking points, if we continue this path to destruction.
War is not the answer, we must address root causes. God has granted us this short period of grace to give us time to wake up from a spirit of deep sleep. This is the same spirit of deep sleep that was poured out on Judah prior to the doom of Jerusalem. (Isaiah 29:10) However, instead of waking up, some of our leaders have resolved to discuss measures like changing the name of “French Fries” to “Freedom Fries.” France is not our enemy, however they are one of our closest allies. We must stop and listen, and see what they are seeing, because we are too close to the destruction and have not took advantage of our problem solving intellect; we have been too busy studying war.
“Thus saith the Lord, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches. But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the Lord, which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the Lord.” (Isaiah 9:23) In a letter dated January 14, 2003, I revealed that the United States has failed to take the corrective actions, now consequently; God will remove His covering from around the United States’ battlements if he did not receive His counsel. Now, God has removed the covering from around the United States military because the battlements are no longer the Lords.
Consequently, if the United States continues to rush to shed innocent blood, the United States will suffer financially and consequently, the military will suffer in maintaining its quality of life and will experience much destruction by fire. (God revealed this to me in several visions, after these visions, the Holy Spirit had me to read, Jeremiah, Chapter 5.) Today, we are witnessing the evidences of God’s covering being removed by the long chow lines, accommodations problems, sand storms, problems with equipment, opposition in the United Nations, etc. Stop and listen.
Can this destruction be prevented? How should we respond?
Yes this can be prevented, for some prophecy is conditional. 2 Chronicles 7:14 states, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” The Nineveh Response is a Good Model to follow.
As recorded in Romans 15:4, “For whatsoever things were written aforetime were for our learning, …” Today we must learn from the King and the people of Nineveh. The lessons are recorded in the book of Jonah, chapter 3. When Jonah cried out to the people that Nineveh would be overthrown in forty days the people believe him. The people humbled themselves. And when the word of the Lord came to the King of Nineveh, the King arose from his throne, and laid his robe from him, and covered him with sack clothe and sat in ashes.” In other words, the king humbled himself. (Jonah 3:4-6)
The king and the people of Nineveh repented. When the king and the people humbled themselves, and turned from their evil, this caused God to repent. Jonah 3:10 says, “And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not. We must pray that Our Pride will not keep us from repenting from our plan for war on Iraq. If we fail to repent, it will lead to a great destruction. Proverbs 16:18 says, “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.” We must learn the lessons about the pride of Tyrus as recorded in Ezekiel 28 and Egypt’s pride and desolation as recorded in Ezekiel 29 - 31.
Ezekiel 25:15, God warns us what would be the affects of pride mixed with a despiteful heart. Listen! There are some very serious consequences for taking vengeance with a despiteful heart, to destroy for old hatred. Ezekiel 25:17, God says, “And I will execute great vengeance upon them with furious rebukes; and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall lay my vengeance upon them. Nevertheless, God have no pleasure at all that the wicked should die. However the Lord desire is that the wicked turned from his wicked ways. (Ezekiel 18:23) Ezekiel 18:27 - 28 says, “Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive. Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.”
How to end this crisis and bring an end to terror in the United States? - Follow these instructions. “Woe unto the leaders of the United States, if they continue in their wickedness and fail to adhere to the word that I have given My Prophet. Recall your planes, ships, and My people. Remove all unjust sanctions against countries around the world. Rewrite your trade agreements to ensure that they are fair to the workers. End your eagerness to shed innocent blood. Seek out the bad fruit that have now ripened. Apply just laws to all suspects that are still alive, that were involved in the planning and operation of the terrorism attack on America. Do not prosecute the innocent. Bad fruits that have not ripened, treat them with care, love, and understanding, because you helped created them. Change your hearts and take on a new resolve to end oppression and perverseness. Thus, you will end the terrorism in America if you turn to Me. My righteousness is forever.” Thus said the Lord. God gave me this message in September 2001 before we sent out any of our troops, planes, or ships. In God’s final warning, God has showed me how America will suffer financially and our strong military will be reduced to a military that cannot sustain its basis quality life that we have grown accustomed to.
Finally, Mr. President, I would like to direct your attention to Jeremiah Chapter 18. You will find that you will fail to meet your objective of establishing a democracy in Iraq because you are not the “Potter.” God is the “Potter.” Jeremiah 18:7 says, “At what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, and to pull down, and to destroy it; If that nation, against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil, will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them. And at what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to build and to plant it; If it do evil in my sight, that it obey not my voice, then I will repent of the good, where with I said I would benefit them.
I pray that you will have the courage to do what the people of United States of America are paying you to do. God says if we hearkened to His commandments we would have peace as a river and righteousness as the waves of the sea. (Isaiah 48:18) “In righteousness shalt thou be established; Thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear; and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.” (Isaiah 54:14) Mr. President, I pray that we would hearken to the Commandments of God.
Sincerely yours,
Elmore Richmond Jr.
